Hi!

Recently, I stumbled upon this Pokémon Gold hack by Freako, which is called Pokémon Bronze.

So far, I have 5 badges and the game is really a great throwback to the gameplay of the good, old gen 2 games.

While I have found little documentation about it, I just decide to share some findings and research of my own with you, so todays topic will be the new Fakemons and Pokémon exclusive to this hack.

So far I have encountered four of these (I don't know, if there are more and I am open to surprises) and will list them in the order they appear ingame, as well as giving you an overview of their Pokédex entries, their typings, their base stats, as well as their level up moves sets and where you can find or evolve them.

The Pokédex entries and typings were taken from the game's gameplay itself, while the base stats and moves are all of my own research and I used hacking and tools to extract or calculate them.

This documentation also won't feature any TMs or HMs for now, as I haven't gotten all of them ingame and wouldn't be able to test them with these Fakemons and Pokémon.

Also, I have heard, that some info on these Fakemons and Pokémon has been requested by various people, but no one has documented these yet.

---

Pumbloom

So the first fakemon encountered ingame is found in the Junction Park. At first, this area is mostly blocked off, but once you can use Cut, you can go to the grass and encounter the Fakemon Pumbloom. This Fakemon can be caught as early level 13 and doesn't evolve. Ingame, Pumbloom replaces Dunsparce and can be male or female. Wild Pumbloom have a chance to hold a PRZCUREBERRY.

Here's its Pokédex entry and typing:

No. 206
Pumbloom

Type
Grass / Poison

Species
PSN Berry (Poison Berry)

Height
4'11"

Weight
31.0 lb

Although it appears sweet and game for anything, it can be quite a grump for most of the time.

Missingno.

This is the second unusual encounter. Missingno. can be found as a static encounter on Route 8 and is similar to the original game's Sudowoodo in that it blocks a path and shakes when you talk to it for the first time, as well as being the only Missingno. in the game. Catch it, run from it or defeat it and there will never be a second one.

So to actually trigger an encounter with this Missingno., you will need to go to Gamboge Town (you will need to be able to use Strength for this) and go to the lower left building where you need to talk to an old man. After talking to him, he will give you an item called a BIG STICK.

If you then return to Route 8 and poke the Missingno. with this stick, you will meet a Lv 25 Missingno., which you can weaken an catch, no glitches or other oddities included!

Ingame, Missingno. replaces Kangaskhan, is genderless, doesn't evolve and does not have a held item associated to it.

Heres it's Pokédex entry and typing:

No. 115
Missingno.

Type
Water / Flying

Species
Glitch

Height
10'00"

Weight
3507.2 lb

Once the lag gets off Sanic, you gotta go fast.

Archen

So, this one is actually pretty interesting, as it's neither a Fakemon nor a glitch Pokémon, but actually a Pokémon from a later generation added in. When you first visit Russet Town, you can go into the lower right building on the left to the bike shop and talk to the woman, who lives there. She will give you the Plume Fossil.

At first, the fossil will be pretty much useless, as you won't be able to revive it for quite a long time. It isn't until you get Surf, that you will be able to revive it. Once you have Surf, you can surf on the small lake of the left side of Gamboge Town and go up on a hidden path to a hidden laboratory (you will also need Cut to cut down a small tree) and enter it.

There you need to go through a whole hopping and teleporting tiles puzzle in a similar manner to the puzzle, that is needed to reach Ho-Oh in the original games. Once you reach the lowest floor, you will be inside a small room with a working computer (any other computers found in this location are broken and can't be spoken to).

If you talk to the computer, it will ask you to enter the Plume Fossil. Once the revival is complete, it will trigger a wild encounter with a Lv 25 Archen. Like Missingno., this is a one time encounter, so if you catch it, run from it or defeat it and there will never be a second one.

Ingame, Archen replaces Doduo and can be male or female. Wild Archen have no held item associated to them.

Just like in the original gen 5 games, once Archen reaches Lv 37 (and from there on at every level onwards, if you stop it from evolving), it will try to evolve into Archeops.

Here's its Pokédex entry and typing:

No. 084
Archen

Type
Rock / Flying

Species
Firstbird (First Bird)

Height
1'08"

Weight
20.9 lb

Revived from a fossil, this Pokémon is thought to be the ancestor of all bird Pokémon.

And here are its base stats:

Like other unevolved Pokémon, Archen learns moves way earlier than Archeops.
Above I separated the two affected moves from the rest, so you can compare their learned levels with those of Archeops, if you put Archen's and Archeops' learnsets side by side.

---

Archeops

As there is only one Archen to be caught ingame, the same goes for its evolved form, which can only be received by leveling up Archen to at least Lv 37 and evolving it.

Ingame, Archeops replaces Dodrio and can be male or female. Wild Archeops would have no held item associated to them, if you could catch them in the wild.

Here's its Pokédex entry and typing:

No. 085
Archeops

Type
Rock / Flying

Species
Firstbird (First Bird)

Height
4'08"

Weight
70.5 lb

They are highly intelligent and can run at speeds comparable to those of an automobile.

And here are its base stats:

Like other evolved Pokémon, Archeops learns any moves after its initial evolution level way later than Archen.
Above I separated the two affected moves from the rest, so you can compare their learned levels with those of Archen, if you put Archen's and Archeops' learnsets side by side.

---

So this is my documentation of the for special Fakemon and Pokémon, I have encountered in Pokémon Bronze so far. If I find any other ones, I will make sure to add them to this list as well, but for now, I hope, you enjoyed reading this and that it has helped you, if you were looking for ways on how to get these Fakemon and Pokémon ingame or were asking yourself, if they can evolve or not, when they will evolve or which moves you should let them learn.

---

So here's a short summary:

Pumbloom can be caught as early as at the Junction Park once you have Cut and you can catch it as many times as you want. Missingno. is an one time encounter, so make sure to save the game before poking that Missingno. on Route 8 with a stick. Archen is also an one time encounter, so make sure to save the game before talking to that working computer at the basement of Gamboge Town's hidden lab.

Hi! Meow :3

So, recently, I have been very busy with my new job. I've got too much work to do.

While I like and certainly enjoy my new job, I am still hoping, that I will find more time for myself and my friends, so I can continue drawing and working on the wiki farm, as since I started my job, I wasn't able to make much progress on either whatsoever.

Still, whenever I found the time, I was at least able to create some new art.

When will I post that new art?
I don't know yet, but I will certainly post it sooner or later.

Also, sorry for letting you wait with my replies for so long.
With the little time, I have on my hands now, I simply can't find the time to answer you, even though I am very thankful for all these kind comments and favorites you are sending me.

I am hoping, that you are all doing well and looking forward to sending out some faves myself and answering at least some of your comments later this day. Hug

Hi! Hi!

Today, I am posting a list of a few glitches, that happened to me when I was playing the first, third and fourth generation games of the Pokémon series, that I either haven't being documented on the internet or have only been reported by about a handful of other players.

I might add more glitches to this list, if I find more, that haven't been noted down anywhere else, yet.

Generation 1 Glitches

Trainer ID Glitch

This one first happened to me in one of my Pokémon Red playthroughs, but I also had this happen in a more recent one of Pokémon Blue.

I don't know what causes it, as it has happened to me in two completely different situations.
Also, this glitch actually might be two glitches.
First encounter with this glitch
So, when I first encountered it, I chose Charmander as my starter in Pokémon Red an played through the game as normal, but as I only used my Charmander and didn't catch any other Pokémon yet, my Charmander had already evolved into Charmeleon before I returned the parcel to Oak.

The weirdness started after evolving my Charmander, as after becoming Charmeleon, it wouldn't listen to my orders anymore and would act as if it was a traded Pokémon. (eventhough, I hadn't traded it, as not only I would have needed a second Pokémon to be able to trade, but didn't even have Poké Balls to catch Pokémon with yet)

What was even weirder, was, that Charmeleon suddenly had a different Original Trainer ID than it had before, so this change might have been triggered when it was evolving before getting the Pokédex.

Of cause, as Charmeleon was now mostly useless to me, I delivered Oak's parcel, got myself Poké Balls and placed Charmeleon in my box and after catching my first Pokémon for myself, which then became my new starter and my lead Pokémon.

Charmeleon would stay in its box and I would keep playing the game normally with my Rattata and my other Pokémon instead and no more weirdness occured from there onwards, except, that Charmeleon kept acting like a traded Pokémon whenever I used it.
Second encounter with this glitch
Years later, I was playing through Pokémon Blue when suddenly my Lv 65 Vaporeon would no longer obey me after I fought and caught a Ditto. Like Charmeleon from my earlier run over at Red, this Vaporeon was the Eevee, that I got in Celadon City, so it wasn't traded either.

Weirdly, this time all of my Pokémon in my team and the current box except for Ditto had a different ID from my own and acted as traded mons. I remembered, that something similar had already happened before, so instead of making the mistake of changing boxes to check my other Pokémon and accidentally saving, I decided to dropped Ditto and reloading my save.

Afterwards, everything was back to normal and I caught another Ditto and the glitch didn't happen again, with all of my Pokémon recognizing me as normal.

Other people having this glitch happen

The weirdest thing, though, has to be, that I have only seen one other person stating something similar to the first version of glitch on the internet, and they also had chosen Charmander.

Other players instantly assumed, they had traded the Charmander to their game or used cheats, but the other player also stated, that they had just started the game and were weirded out by the ID not matching with their own.

Generation 3 Glitches

Every wild Pokémon becomes Missingno Glitch (and some Missingno in your boxes)

This one happened to me when I was starting up my old Pokémon Ruby save from back in 2003, when I first played the game.

I had just finished Pokémon Diamond and wanted to migrate some of my old Pokémon from Ruby, so I played Ruby and walked around in Rusturf Tunnel where you usually encounter wild Whismur.

When an encounter happened, instead of Whismur, a Missingno with a Whismur cry and Whismur's name appeared. I thought, this was really weird, so I ran from the fight and went to a different place, where I encountered a wild Linoone to the same effect (same name and cry as Linoone, but looks like a Missingno).

I was worried about my save and rebooted my GBA and went to check my boxes, which, beside most of them having my normal Pokémon from back then, some had like 2 or 3 Missigno in them.

Being even more worried about my Pokémon, I decided to migrate all of the intact ones, so they wouldn't be eaten by the Missingno.

While I never saw anyone else write about wild Missingno, I later read, that Missingno in your boxes can happen when your old save is corrupted to some extend.

So I think, that I encounter wild Missingno and have Missingno in my boxes because my game and my save are so old, that something isn't quite right with them anymore.

After migrating my old Pokémon, I started a new game and everything was fine again, except for me having a handful Missingno with ridiculously high levels that ranged from 1111 to 9999 in some of my boxes.

So, probably my cardridge was broken somehow, because this definitely isn't normal, so I decided to sell it to people who pick such oddities apart and research them and got myself a normally working cardridge again.

Generation 4 Glitches

Party turns into bad eggs Glitch

This one was probably the weirded glitch, that happened to me and just like the one in gen 1, I could fix it by simply reloading my save.

So, I was playing Pokémon Diamond and had just cleared Eternal Forest and was on my way to Eternal City and decided to take a break for a moment, so I was standing near the grass at the upper right section of Route 205 and facing the water when I decided to save my game.

Everything was normal back then.

I later came back, booted up my Nintendo DS and loaded my save, but after I caught a wild Buizel, things got weird, as suddenly, all of my party members had turned into bad eggs!

This was very shocking to me, as I had read before, that you would only get bad eggs via cheating!

This was a long time before the above glitch from gen 3 happened to me, but I still decided to give up on that Buizel and turn off my DS without saving.

When I rebooted my DS, loaded my save again and caught a different Buizel, everything was normal as it should be and I didn't get any bad eggs.

I wonder, if this is related to my Nintendo DS itself, as it was also a bit dodgy when I was playing Zelda Phantom Hourglass and could never get past the section where you need to blow the dust off Lineback's chart, as the game would never register me blowing at the chart.

Getting a Nintendo DSi years later resolved two issues I had:

First, Pokémon Diamond would never let me save after beating the Elite Four and the Champ as the save got corrupted and it had to reload the backup save and I just decide to leave things as they were and migrate Pokémon instead. But with the new DSi, I finally could get past this and did no longer have that saving issue.

Second, I now could blow the dust off Lineback's chart in Zelda Phantom Hourglass!

After getting my Nintendo DSi, I never had any weirdness again and just recently completed my 100% playthrough of Pokémon Black and beat Alder!

More Glitches coming sooner or later

So, we had soft- and hardware related glitches here and some where one really couldn't tell.

If I encounter any more Pokémon weirdness in form of glitches, I will tell you here.

Also feel free to tell me, if any of these things have also happened to you in the comments. Meow :3

Semerone & Zenki

Artist | Hobbyist | Varied

Hi! :D

This the DeviantArt account of Semerone and Zenki. :cuddle:

Semerone is the founder of Kishin Douji Zenki Wikia.
The majority of the original works and fanart on this account are made by her.

Zenki is Seme's room mate.
His art can be found in the Zenki7 folders, but he only rarely visits this place.
Sometimes both of us visit DeviantArt or do collab art together.

Feel free to check it out and contact us. We don't bite.
Well... That's at least not unless you give us a reason to bite back. :meow:

If you want to know more about us or our wiki project, feel free to visit our About us-journal by clicking here. :D

This is the updated archived version of our deviantID.

If you wonder, why there's a new archived version so soon, well...
Actually, it's has very sad reason:

Not only has Zenki decided to quit working on our wiki projects, but he also decided to quit DeviantArt and has left my place, so he's also no longer my roommate, so... from today onwards (as of July 24, 2019), this account will be solely used by myself once again.

Of cause, Zenki's works and favorites will be still featured in his respective folders, but don't expect anything new to be added to his folders any time soon.

While I still wonder, if Zenki will ever return, one of my best friends said, that stuff happens, and I guess, he's right. After all, it was Zenki's choice to leave and it would be pointless to let this event take over my life and make me sad forever.

Still... now that Zenki has left, I hope, that he will be well were his way carries him and wish him farewell.

My favorite Link and
my first Zelda game

Hi! This is Semerone!

I decided to rearrange this section a bit to feature new content, so here's a drawing of my favorite Link as a cute chibi plush with a heart. :meow:

Back in the day when the Nintendo 64 came out, Ocarina of Time wasn't just the first game, I played on this console, but also my first Zelda game!

Soon, I came to like the Hero of Time a lot, as his deep and heartwarming story in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask just makes him such a sad and yet lovable character.

It also was funny to me, how most people kept mistaking Link for Zelda, but maybe, that's because I watched some of my friends' brothers play Smash Bros. before I got my own Nintendo 64, so I always knew, that the hero with the green tunic was called Link and not Zelda. ^^;

Even though, I have played many different Zelda titles since then, Time Link is still my favorite. :meow:

This is also why most of my Zelda fanart depicts him and not that many of the other Links or that many other characters.

Some of my other favorites from the series are Kass (from Breath of the Wild) and Midna (from Twilight Princess), as Kass is a very lovable character and caring and loving father and Midna is very funny and yet has such a sad story.

Alright. That's all for now in regards to Zelda. :D

The previous entry Our Kishin Douji Zenki Wikia Team has been archived and can now be found here.
